Atelier Pato was born in 2018 in Paris, as an accessory design studio whose distinctive feature lies in upcycling (or surcyclage in French). Upcycling is the act of giving a new use to existing materials or products when they reach the end of their life cycle.
The studio is above all a family story that grows richer through encounters and collaborations with various local economic and social players.
The company was truly launched in spring 2019. The original founder and artisan visual artist, Martha, was soon joined by her three engineer sons in order to combine craftsmanship and technology in the design and manufacture of Parisian souvenir accessories.
Our approach is rewarded by the City of Paris through the « Fabriqué à Paris » label, which guarantees responsible and 100% local production.
Martha
I do not seek, I find (Pablo PICASSO).
A quote that sums up her state of mind and how Martha observes the materials around us to repurpose them from their primary use.
A visual artist by training and an art craftswoman with more than 15 years of experience, Martha overflows with new ideas.
Juan Manuel
True novelty is always born in the return to one's roots (Edgar MORIN).
A computer engineer with degrees from CentraleSupélec and NUS, Juan Manuel takes a close interest in Parisian tourist souvenirs after realizing that fewer than 10% of the souvenirs sold in France are made on our own soil. After contributing to the launch of two digital startups, he returns to his roots: craftsmanship and family.
Juan David
Passionate about cars since childhood, Juan David follows an engineering path and has worked for the most prestigious manufacturers such as Ferrari and McLaren since 2010 in ergonomic design and engineering. Endowed with unfailing curiosity, no design detail escapes him.
Juan Sebastian
An Arts et Métiers engineer, Juan Sebastian has years of experience as a consultant in the pharmaceutical industry. A hacker at heart, he always manages to cleverly work around every technical as well as business challenge.
